SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
The City Council of the City of Anna will meet in Special Session at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday,
February 26, 2002, at the Anna City Hall, located at 120 W. 4th Street, to consider the following
items:
1. Call to Order.
2. Roll Call.
3. Citizen’s Participation.
4. Consider acceptance of resignation of Ms. Marie Evans, City Secretary of City of Anna.
5. Consider acceptance of resignation of Mr. Garry Gonzales, Public Works Director of City
of Anna.
6. The City Council will recess into executive session under Texas Government Code
Sections 551.071 and 551.074 of the Texas Open Meeting Act for the following purpose:
Personnel: Interview(s) for Public Works Director
Employee salary review
7. Consider action on hiring of Public Works Director.
8. Consider action regarding salary review for Billing Clerk.
9. Consider action to appoint an Acting City Secretary.
10. Consider adoption of resolution declaring a public necessity to acquire a water line
easement across the property as described in the attached Exhibit A, authorizing the
employment of Gay, McCall, and Isaacks, attorneys, and directing them to have the
property in the easement appraised, to make a final offer for the easement, and to
institute proceedings in eminent domain.
11. Consider adoption of resolution declaring a public necessity to acquire a water line
easement across the property as described in the attached Exhibit B, authorizing the
employment of Gay, McCall, and Isaacks, attorneys, and directing them to have the
property in the easement appraised, to make a final offer for the easement, and to
institute proceedings in eminent domain.
12. Consider action on resolution authorizing signatories for accounts at Independent Bank
and First National Bank of Van Alstyne, Anna branch.
