ANNA CITY HALL
JULY 92 1996
The City Council of the City of Anna met in regular session on the 9th day of July 1996 with the following
members present and participating: Mayor Ron Ferguson,Bob Estep,Joe Murphy,Debbie McIntosh,and
Lisa Copeland.
The meeting was called to order at 7:32 pm.by Ron Ferguson.
Citizen's present were Johnny McBride.
Under Item#3: Citizen's participation,Johnny McBride expressed his concerns regarding the road
conditions in the city.
Under Item#4: The City Council met with Pat Dillon regarding an agreement with FFP Partners. The initial
agreement was approved. Negotiations will continue,in reference to bringing the Truck stop into the City
of Anna.
Under Item#5: Consideration for making application with FEMA regarding participation in the National
Flood Insurance Program was tabled until the next meeting. No official action was taken,
Under Item#6: A report was given by Ricky Dawes/Water Superintendent there was no official action
taken.
Under Item#7: Minutes from June 11,1996 meeting were accepted as published. Debbie McIntosh made
motion,and Bob Estep seconded.
Under Item#8: After reviewing both the General Funds and the Water\Sewer accounts payable lists the
motion was made by Debbie McIntosh and seconded by Joe murphy to approve the bills as submitted.
Under Item#9: The City Council recessed into Executive Session under the Texas Government Code
Sections 551.071 and 551.074,of The Texas Open Meetings Act to interview four candidates for the City
Secretary position.
Under Item#10. The City Council re-convened into regular session with the announcement that Monica
Williams was the chosen candidate for the City Secretary position,and stating that she will begin work
within two weeks.
