The City Council of Anna mot In regular session at Anna City flail on Tiles day November 12,1996.
This meeting was posted in accordance with tine'Texas Open Meeting Law.
Mayor,Ron Ferguson called the meeting to order at 7:32 pm..
All members were present.
Citizen's present were: Doris Britt,Johnny McBrIde,Ivah Abraham,David Lambert,Holly
Lambert,Bill Kanaday,Brenda Kanaday,Dorothy Oldham,Theresa Moore,Jasoll Moore,C.L.&
Betty Adams,Jerry Chapman,T.J.Warren.
Each citizen was given all opportunity to speak on behalf of the Annexation Ordinance.
Bob made motion to accept minutes dated October 22,1996,Joe seconded. Motion carried
Subjecl of Code Enforcement-Officer Was tabled until a later in"Aing. No action VAken
The Council met with Jerry Chapman regarding Issuance's of bonds,after a brief discussion and
review of amortization options,Debbie made a motion and Lisa seconded to direct Jerry Chapman to
pursue the development of$250,000.000 bond issuance and to present a 20 year amortization with a 5
year call. Motion carried
Item#7,met with Lee Lawrence regarding annexation. Lo submitted two re.Tislons,one to property
oil FM 2862 to not Include Me acreage thata structure was not located oil and also property oil CR
423 to not be included inannexation due to file fact that city utilities are not being provided to
property. After review and discussion Duane made motion to accept the annexation ordinance,Lisa
seconded. Bob and Joe against. Motion carried
Met with Tolunly CUIANAingham regarding variance to 11VIII Ordinance. Bob mademotionton accept,
Joe seconded, (2)yay
(3)nay motion did not carry.
Item#9,.Toe made motion to accept 1.997 Budget,Debbie seconded. Motion Carried
Item#10,Lisa made motion to dispense of the second City Council meeting for the months of
November and December,Duane seconded. Motion carried
Item 11,Tine motion was made by Duane to accept lheappAvvai of bilis,Joc:wconded. Motion
carried
There being no flulher business the inecting was a4ljournedat 10:50 p.m..
