JUNE 24, 1997
The City Council of the City of Anna met in regular session
on the 24th day of ,lune 1997 with the Following members
present and participating: Mayor, tion Ferguson, Bob F tep,
Debbie McIntosh, Lisa Copeland and Joe Murphy. Duane :Mayes
absent From this meeting.
Item #1
This meeting was called to order at 7;31 p.m. by Ron
Ferguson
Others present were Johnny McBride, Betty McBride, Bentley
Powell, Peggy Powell., Betty Adams, Judy Rackel, Nicky Dawes,
T.J. Marren and Tommy Cunningham.
Item ##
Ron asked for any Citizen' : participation at -this time
There was no response at this time.
Item ##4
The City Council mei; with Betty Adams to discuss and take
action as needed regarding her building permit. The City
Council asked Betty to get a building permit For -the addition
to her home.
Item ##5
The City Council met with Peggy and Bentley Powell -to discuss
and take action an needed on the liens against their
property. There was no action taken until the City Attorney
and the Powell ' s Attorney meet to discuss this issue.
Item ##6
The City Council met with Tommy Cunningham to discuss and
take action as needed on the final plat. The Council had
discussion on several items and decided to -table this until
the dater Superintendent, Fire Marshal]. and City Engineer
could review the plans.
Item #7
The City Council discussed Item ##7, Toad Repair. They
decided to table this until. the next Council meeting.
Item #8
Debbie McIntosh made a motion -to turn. Item ##8, the naming of
County Roads that were annexed over to the Planning and.
Zoning Board, Joe Murphy seconded. Motion carried 4/0/1 ,
Duane Mayes absent From this meeting.
Item #9
The City Council. tabled Item #9, to discuss and take action
as needed regarding a Police Force 'until. further discussion
and information is presented.
Item #10
The City Council tabled Item #10, to discuss and take action
as needed regarding the property of Virginia Rhea until
Debbie McIntosh has spoken with TML.
Item #11
The City Council met with the City Secretary, Marie, Evans.
Marie stated that the Water Clerks computer was down and that
it was not worth repairing. Bob ;step made a motion to spend
$2,000.00 on a new computer, Lisa Copeland seconded. Motion
carried 4/0/1 . Duane Hayes absent from this meeting.
Item #12
Lisa Copeland made a motion -to approve the Minutes dated June
10, 1997, seconded by Joe Murphy. Motion carried 4/0/1 .
Duane Hayes absent from this meeting.
Item #13
The City Council will recess into Executive Session under
Texas Government code Section 551.074 of the Texas Open
Meeting Act for -the following purpose:
Water and Sewer Superintendent Salary Review.
Item #14
The City Council took no action on Item #13, to act on items
discussed in Executive Session.
Item #15
There being no further business this meeting was adjourned at
10:03 p.m. ,
