Call to Order, Roll Call, and Establishment of Quorum. Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance. American Pledge: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Texas Pledge: Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible. Neighbor Input: At this time, any person may address the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board regarding an item on this meeting agenda that is not scheduled for public hearing. Also, at this time any person may address the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board regarding an item that is not on this meeting agenda. Each person will be allowed up to three (3) minutes to speak. No discussion or action may be taken at this meeting on items not listed on this agenda, other than to make statements of specific information in response to a citizen’s inquiry or to recite existing policy in response to the inquiry. The Boys Scouts and Hurricane Rotary Club conducted cleanups at various city parks. The Community Services Department participated by completing a lunchtime cleanup on Thursday, April 16 at Slayter Creek Park. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will be conducting a trash cleanup on Monday, April 20th during their regularly scheduled monthly meeting. • The city will be hosting a Household Hazardous Waste event on Saturday, April 25th from 10am to 2pm at the Municipal Complex. • The city will also be hosting an Earth Day Event on Saturday, April 25th from 10am to 1pm at the Municipal Plaza and Library. Finley Park • Evaluating CMAR responses to RFQ. • Construction tentatively scheduled to start by June. Park System Master Plan Update • The park system master plan was presented to City Council on March 10th. It will be included on the March 24th Council meeting for adoption. Slayter Creek Park Playground Renovation • Finishing punch list items. • The playground is currently open to the public. • There are some surfacing issues that may require the playground to be closed for a couple of days; this should happen in the next couple of weeks if necessary. • A ribbon cutting was held on Saturday, March 28th. Slayter Creek Park Drainage Improvements • Design for drainage improvements is proceeding. • A plan that combines the survey and the underground utility investigation data is being prepared. • When drainage plans are completed, budget numbers can be created. Funding for drainage improvements is not currently allocated. Bryant Park • CMAR submittals are being evaluated. • The project is on hold pending decisions to be made by the city manager and City Council. Carol Park • Construction is progressing. • The trail is tentatively scheduled to be completed this summer. • The concrete flatwork in the main area of amenities is 90% complete. Marchand, Director of Community Services Management Team MEETING MINUTES ANNA PARKS ADVISORY BOARD MEETING Tuesday, February 17, 2026 @ 6:00 PM Anna Municipal Complex 120 W 7th Street Anna, TX 75409 The Parks Advisory Board of the City of Anna met at 6:00 PM, on February 17, 2026, at Anna Municipal Complex, located at 120 W. 7th Street, Anna TX 75409, to consider the following items. 1. Call to Oder, Roll Call and Establishment of Quorum Parks Advisory Board Member Susan Jones called the meeting to order at 6:07pm. Quorum was established. Following Parks advisory board members were in attendance Susan Jones, Alastair Hunte, Kennon Weaver, David Colegrove, Madeline Madrid, Sheri Sachs and Scott Gentry. Staff present included Acting Director of Community Services Jeff Freeth. 2. Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance a. Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Member Alastair Hunte led the Pledge of Allegiance and Prayer. 3. Neighbor Comments – No comments. 4. Receive a Report a. Received a report on parks maintenance and recreation programs and events. (memo) 5. Project Update a. Received report on CIP Project Updates.by Acting Director of Community Services Jeff Freeth. 6. Items for Individual Consideration a. Discuss, Consider, Action on recommendation for City Council to adopt 2050 Parks, Open Space, Trails, and Recreation Master Plan. MOTION: Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Member Scott Gentry made a motion to recommend to City Council to approval of the 2050 Parks, Open Space, Trails and Recreation Master Plan with the suggestion to add the floodplains to the trails map. Second by Kennon Weaver. Motion carried. b. Discuss, Consider, Action on Parks Advisory Board meeting minutes on January 20, 2026. MOTION: Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Member David Colegrove made a motion to approve the meeting minutes. Second by Madeline Madrid. Motion carried. 7. Items for Future Consideration -None. 8.
