Homeowner of the residence signed a form allowing all of us to enter the residence to observe. We made entry into the residence and observed heavy load of plastic grocery bags filled with unknown items, stacked all over the residence. Heavy build up of dust and possible insulation that had fallen down, throughout the house. Parts of the house had ceiling that had fallen. Very small walk paths through the house. Myself, and Chief Newton observed fire hazard throughout the house with high amount of combustibles. Upon visual inspection , it was noted that the property is in violation of the Property Maintenance Codes 3.06a (Infiltration of Rain or Ground Water): "It shall be unlawful for any Person to allow rain or groundwater to enter house sewers by any means, including but not limited to, any yard line, clean outs and gutter drains.... ". It has been reported that the clean outs in the rear yard are broken and that there is raw sewage in the backyard. These items are both health/safetyissues and must be repaired/replaced immediately. According to the City of Anna Ordinances, the property owner is responsible from the house to the main sewer line. If you are unsure of the steps needed to take to bring tine property into compliance, feel free to contact the Code Enforcement Department at (972) 924-3325 for further details. It is the property owners responsibility to maintain the property at an acceptable condition. Yod will have ten days from the receipt of this letter to brung the property into compliance by repairing the sewer service. If the violation is not abated within the time frame given, citations will be issued to you as the property owner. Each day after the given time frame will constitute a separate offense with a daily citation issued. The property is in violation of the Property Maintenance Code 1.20d (Nuisances on Exterior Property Areas -weeds and tall grass) and 1.26a (Accumulation of Rubbish and Garbage). Any tall grass/weeds on the property must be mowed/disposed of. Piles of debris or other items being housed on the property must be stored out of public view or disposed of. There are numerous 5 gallon drums on the property that must be disposed of. Any inoperable vehicles must be stored out of public view or removed from the property. It is the property owners responsibility to maintain the property at an acceptable condition. You will have ten days from the receipt of this letter to bring the property into compliance by removing the grass, debris and inoperable vehicles from the property. If the violations are not abated within the time frame given, citations will be issued to you as the property owner. Each day after the given time frame will constitute a separate offense with a daily citation issued. If the city has to abate the nuisance, liens will be placed on the property for the cost of the expense incurred. This will be the only notice issued during this calendar year.
