SPECIAL MEETING
CITY COUNCIL
A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Anna will be held on Tuesday, November 20,
2001, at 7:30 p.m. at the City Hall, 120 W. Fourth Street, City of Anna, Texas. The following
item will be considered by the City Council at this meeting.
1. Call to order.
2. Roll call.
3. Consider action on Pro Rata Agreement between City of Anna and Affi International, Inc.
4. Consider action on purchase of communications equipment for Public Works
Department.

3. Pro Rata Agreement
Affi International is required to contribute $46,350 as a cash contribution to the TCF
project which is taking water and sewer service to the west side of U. S. Highway 75.
The City’s agreement with Affi International at the start of this project included a
commitment to give Affi the opportunity to recover some of its costs if other parties used
the lines that Affi helped pay to construct. The payment amount in the agreement is
$38,050 because the City requested a 12” water line instead of the 8” required to serve
the Affi development. The $8,300 difference is the cost of the oversizing.
The attached agreement provides for fulfillment of the initial deal. If other parties use
the water and/or sewer lines that are part of this project, the City will collect a payment
from those parties, based on their proportionate use of the facilities, and will submit the
payment to Affi International.
4. Communications Equipment
Mayor Pro Tem Finley has submitted information regarding a Nextel deal for
consideration (for use by the Public Works Department). We will secure additional
information regarding this option as well as competing services and have the
information available for your review. Mr. Finley has asked that the item be considered
at this meeting because the Nextel deal has a closing date that requires action
immediately if we want to exercise that option.
