AN NA PARK BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
September 15,2008
The Park Board of the City of Anna held its regular meeting on Monday,September 15,2008,at
7:00 p.m.at the Community Room of Anna City Hall Administration Building,located at 111 North
Powell Parkway (Hwy 5),to consider the following items.
1.Called to order at 7:05 and establishment of quorum.
Park Board members present were Chairman John Loyd,John Hendrix and Rachel Lyon.
Deb Dennis has resigned as secretary and Rachel Lyon volunteered to assume the duties
of secretary.
2.Fund Raising Projects update.
Brick Sales and Stay in Anna Play in Anna Report -Maurice Schwanke will provide a
display to set up at the Homecoming Football game Friday Sept 19th.John Hendrix will
speak to key individuals about buying bricks.The Greater Anna Chamber of Commerce is
donating $1000.00 worth of trees to the park.It was suggested that the line of trees to the
west be thinned and the excess trees be used in the rest of the park.It was suggested that
a booth be set up at National Night Out.
3.Update on status of Slayter Creek Park.
Maurice Schwanke provided a slide show to show progress
4.Special Projects.
Cultural resource signage
Historical resource signage
Texas Smartscape
Maurice Schwanke will go forward with these projects in place of Deb Dennis.
5.Park Board Minutes .

6.Citizen comments and/or other presentations.
There were no other comments of presentations
7.Adjourn at 8:03pm.
The motion was made by Chairman John
passed.
