ANNA PARK BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
April 19,2010
The Park Board of the City of Anna will hold a regular meeting on Monday,April 19,2010,at
7:00 p.m.at the Community Room of Anna City Hall Administration Building,located at 111
North Powell Parkway (Hwy 5),to consider the following items.
1.Call to order and establishment of quorum.
The meeting was called to order at 7:01 pm and a quorum was establishment.Park
Board me!llbEm~"present were Erin Coger,Kelly Bailey,Jon Hendrix,Michael Watkins
and Rachel Lyon.·Staff member Maurice Schwanke was present as well as Becky
Glover Council Liaison.
2.Citizen comments and/or other presentations.
Mr.Joe Martinez Jr.was present and expressed concerned about the safety of the ball
fields the girls play on.He reported steel embedded in the ground and light bulbs
needing to be replaced.He was also concerned about flooding and asked for a French
drain to be put in.It was suggested that he was told to talk with James Parkman,
Director of Public Works.It was also mentioned that he should contact the A YSA
President about his concerns .
.Kelly Bailey mentioned that the high school ball fields are having issues with the
sprinkler system.Dirt is sinking where the sprinkler lines were originally installed and the
fields looks like a checkerboard.It is a safety hazard and something much be done.He
also stated that he had been told by Ty Chapman that the sprinklers do not come on at
the right time and do not shut off properly.They are leaking and the water has to be shut
off to avoid problems.
3.(a)Public Hearing
Hearing regarding the violation of Part II Article 47 Section 2.03 (d)and Section 2.10 of
the Anna Code.
A public hearing was held regarding the banning of Stephen Pyles from Parks in Anna
for a peribd of 90 days.The hearing was opened at 7:20.Officer Lonnie Griggs from the
Anna Police Department was present and gave testimony of the offense.The public
hearing was closed at 7:27.
(b)Consider/Discuss/Act on recommendation to City Council regarding the violation of
Part II Article 47 Section 2.03 (d)and Section 2.10 of the Anna Code.
Jon Hendrix made a motion to recommend to the City Council to ban Mr.Pyles from
Anna Parks for 90 days.Michael Watkins seconded the motion which carried
unanimously.
4.Park Board Minutes

A quorum was not present for this meeting so no minutes were taken.

5.Adjourn.
Erin Cogar made a motion to adjourn with a second by Michael Watkins.The Motion
carried.The meeting was adjourned at 7:29.
