AN NA PARK BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
Monday, May 21, 2012
The Park Board of the City of Anna held a regular meeting on, Monday May 21, 2012 at 7:45
p.m. in the Community Room of the Anna City Hall Administration Building, located at 111 North
Powell Parkway (Hwy 5), to consider the following items.
1. Call to order at 7:56 pm and establishment of quorum. Park Board members present were
Lauren Lovato, Scott Stroud and Rachel Lyon. Also present were Maurice Schwanke, Becky
Glover and EricAlverez..
2. Expenditures proposed by CDC. The CDC will provide money to add sails over Slayter
Creek Park. It is possible to purchase two sails for what they paid for one previously. The
sails will be multicolored but not red and they are expected to last 15 to 20 years.
Rachel made a motion to accept the proposal. Lauren seconded and the motion carried.
Update on other park activities.
The historical archaeological survey is not needed on Slayter Creek Phase II.
There are meetings scheduled for a trip from Anna to Tyler and other places to
observe the splash pads in those areas.
The CDC will take out a loan to finance the amount of for the splash pad that will
not be covered by the grant money.
Currently with one week from the deadline to register, the softball league has 16
showing interest but only 4 have completed registration.
Games are scheduled to start the first Wednesday of June. There will be three
games per night beginning at 7, 8, and 9 o'clock.
3. Park Board Minutes of May 2, 2012.. Lauren made a motion to accept the minutes. Rachel
seconded it. The motion carried.
4. Adjourn —Rachel made a motion to adjourn. Lauren seconded. Motion carried. Meeting
adjourned at 8:13 pm.
