ANNA PARK BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
June 20, 2016
The Park Board of the City of Anna held its regular meeting on Monday, June 20, 2016,
at 7:00 p.m. at the Community Room of Anna City Hall Administration Building, located
at 111 North Powell Parkway (Hwy 5), to consider the following items.
1. Call to order and establishment of quorum.
Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. Members present were Jon Hendricks, Stan
Carver, and Ginny Finan. Erin Cogar was absent. Staff present was Maurice
Schwanke and Matt Lewis.
2. Consider/Discuss/Act on recommendation concerning a special event
application submitted by Michael Mixon, representative for the Greater Anna
Chamber of Commerce regarding the request for the "July 4th Fire Works
Show" located at the Anna High School on July 4, 2016.
Mr. Schwanke gave a presentation regarding the July 4th event. Mike Mixon and
Kevin Hall, representatives for the Greater Anna Chamber of Commerce were
present to answer questions regarding the event.
A motion was made by Jon Hendricks, seconded by Stan Carver to recommend
approval of the July 4th special event. The motion carried.
3. Consider/Discuss/Act on recommendation regarding participation in the Collin
County Park and Open Space Grant Program.
Mr. Schwanke discussed regarding participation in the Collin County Park and Open
Space Grant Program. A motion was made by Erin Cogar, seconded by Stan
Carver to proceed with the participation in the Collin County Park and Open Space
Grant Program.
4. Discussion: Park rules regarding Lakeview Park.
Mr. Schwanke discussed park rules regarding the Lakeview Park. No action taken.
5. Adjourn
There being no other business, a motion was made by Jon Hendricks, seconded by
Stan Carver to adjourn meeting. The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m. The meeting
adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
