MINUTES
ANNA PARKS ADVISORY BOARD MEETING
November 16, 2020
The Parks Advisory Board of the City of Anna held its regular meeting on Monday,
November 16th, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at the Community Room of Anna City Hall
Administration Building, located at 111 North Powell Parkway (Hwy 5), to consider the
following items.
1. Call to Order and Establishment of Quorum
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Members present were Cheryl Merritt,
Michelle Clemens, Elden Baker, Joe Crowder, Jon Hendricks, Eirik Hansen, and
LeQuey Douglas. Staff present was Marc Marchand, Jeff Freeth, Matt Lewis and
Ashley Stathatos.
2. Jeff Freeth, the new Recreation Manager, was introduced to the board.
3. Staff gave a presentation regarding the 12-Days of Anna and Christmas Tree Lighting
Celebration. The calendar of virtual activities was provided along with a n update on
the kits that were distributed to more than 800 children at no cost. Michelle Clemens
offered to assist in putting the kits together with volunteers and to assist staff in
distributing the kits at Slayter Creek Park. An itinerary was provided regarding the
Christmas Tree Lighting event that included free ice skating, a movie, shopping, and
food vendors. It was determined that the members of the Parks Advisory Board would
assist staff in judging the contests.
4. Consider/Discuss /Action on Ethics Regulations Acknowledgment. The Ethics
Regulations Acknowledgment form was distributed to board members for their
signature and returned to staff at the conclusion of the meeting.
5. Park Minutes
A. October 19, 2020
A motion was made by Elden Baker, seconded by LeQuey Douglas, to
approve Minutes of the October 19, 2020 meeting. Motion Carried
6. Adjourn
A motion was made by Joe Crowder, seconded by LeQuey Douglas to adjourn
meeting. The meeting adjourned at 7:13 p.m.
