RESOLUTION NO. 9
A RESOLUTION OF THE ANNA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY OF ANNA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
DIRECTOR TO CARRY OUT CONTRACT PROCUREMENT AND AWARD A CONTRACT
FOR DEMOLITION, REPAIR, AND RENOVATION OF THE INC-CUBE BUILDING LOCATED
AT 312 N. POWELL PKWY., ANNA, TEXAS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Anna Economic Development Corporation (the
"Board"), desires to procure the services of a contractor to partially demolish, repair, and
renovate the Inc -Cube Building located at 312 N. Powell Pkwy., Anna, Texas (the "Project");
and
WHEREAS, the Board intends to comply with all applicable laws with respect to the Project,
including the project procurement requirements under Chapter 252 of the Texas Local
Government Code and Chapter 2269 of the Texas Government Code; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 2269 of the Texas Government Code provides authority to the Board to
delegate to one or more persons to procure a construction project under the requirements of
said chapter; and
WHEREAS, the Board, after careful consideration, has determined that it shall delegate to the
City of Anna Economic Development Director, the authority to act on behalf of the Anna
Economic Development Corporation with respect to procuring a construction contract for the
Project as set forth in this resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE ANNA
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION:
Section 1. Incorporation of Recitals; Purpose
1.01 The Board finds that the above -stated recitals are true and correct and said recitals are
incorporated herein as if set forth in full for all purposes.
1.02 This resolution is intended to comply in all respects with Texas Government Code §
2269.001, et seq., and Texas Local Government Code § 252.001, et seq., to the extent
the provisions of such statutes are applicable.
Section 2. Delegation of Authority
The Board hereby delegates its authority and all of its powers and duties under the
statutes referenced in Section 1.02 of this resolution to the City of Anna Economic
Development Director, Joey Grisham, to procure a contract for the Project under Texas

Government Code § 2269.001, et seq., including without limitation the authority to select
the type of procurement method that provides the best value as relates to the Project, to
initiate the procurement process and provide public notice, to define the criteria to be
used to evaluate bids, proposals and/or submittals, to negotiate and award a final
contract, to execute all documents and instruments necessary to consummate and
implement the contract, and to take all other actions necessary to pursue and complete
the Project.
Section 3. Rescission
To the extent that any previous resolutions or other official acts of the Board conflict with
this resolution, such conflicting provisions are hereby rescinded.
Section 4. Effective Date.
This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
