A RESOLUTION OF THE ANNA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
AUTHORIZING AN EXPENDITURE REQUIRED FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES
FOR ANNA COMMUNITY CENTER
WHEREAS, the Anna Community Development Corporation (the "CDC") intends to fund
the costs for professional architectural services and related costs for design, planning,
and related services necessary for Phase I design of the construction of the Anna
Community Center on the site of Natural Springs Park; and
WHEREAS, the CDC has found and determined that authorizing an expenditure(s) for
said services is in the interest of the Anna community and is required or suitable for
park facilities;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANNA COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, THAT:
Section 1. Recitals Incorporated
The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein for all purposes as if set forth in full.
Section 2. Authority for Expenditures
The CDC hereby authorizes, as part of its 2009 budgeted expenditures for park -related
improvements, the amount of $7,500 to fund the cost of Phase I services of Southwest
Architects, Inc. to meet with City staff, inspect a site at Natural Springs Park, prepare
"As Built" construction plans, develop a space planning program, create a schematic
design, discuss project delivery methods with City Staff, prepare a preliminary
construction cost estimate, make presentations to the CDC Board and the City Council,
and provide related services, all with respect to the construction of a Community Center
for the City of Anna. The CDC hereby further authorizes, in connection with the above -
described services, an additional expenditure(s) up to a total $500 to pay for charges by
Southwest Architects, Inc. for costs and expenses not included in the $7,500 charge for
professional services.
Section 3. Authorization to Execute Contract
The CDC further directs and authorizes its Chief Administrative Officer and the CDC's
legal counsel to, if necessary, finalize any associated contract and contract documents
and authorizes the Chief Administrative Officer or City Manager to execute same on
behalf of the CDC, subject to approval as to the form of same by the CDC's legal
counsel.
