AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORIES TO THE
OFTTHOF ANN, IS ORDINANCEAAND PANVPUBLICATIONIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF:
WHEREAS, the growth and development of the area adjacent to the City
of Anna is progress,ng at a rap`,a rate and th s development is expected
to cont'nue in the future; and
WHEREAS, the protection of the public health and general welfare of
the pec,ple of the C1ty of Anna 'regiices that such development be in an or-
derly manner and controlled by Lhe C-iLy of Anna; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the City Council of the
City of Anna, Texas, on the %` _day ofi

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, 1EXAS:
SECTION 1. The following described land and territories lying adjacent
to and adjoining the City of Anna, Texas is hereby added and annexed to the
City of Anna, Texas, to -wit:

SECTION 2. The above described land and territory lying adjacent to
and adjoining the City of Anna, Texas, and said territory above described
shall hereafter be included within the boundary limits of the City of
Anna, Texas, and the present boundary limits of such city, at the various
points contiguous to the areas above described, are altered and amended
so as to include said area within the corporate limits of the City of
Anna, Texas.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption after one (1) reading and upon -.being approved by the
Mayor, as the law in such cases provides.
