AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN 'TERRITORIES TO THE
CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS: PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION
OF THIS ORDINANCE AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF:
WHEREAS, the growth and development of. the area ad -latent to the City
of Anna is progress;ng at a ra.p:.d rate ;end the deve'lopment is expected
to cont nue in the tuture; and
WHEREAS, the protection of the public health and general welfare of
the people of the City of Anna requite-. tr,at such development be In an or-
derly manner and controlled by Lhe City of Anna; and
WHEREAS, a publIsc hearing was he`,d before the City Council of the
Ci Ly of Anna, Texas, on the /- day of _�. �� 19 f
which date was not more than twenty (20) d::ys roe, ;e_ -s than ten (10) days
prior to the institut on of annexat?orf prcceedings; and
WHEREAS, notice of. such pub;-ec hearing was advert?Led at Post Office
and City Hall by public posters in the CEty of Anna, Texas day

less than ten (10) days prior to the day of such pub) -,c hearing; and
WHEREAS, the tern:tory 1.les. adjacent•'to and adjo�ns the City of Anna,
Texas ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS:
SECTION 1> The following described 'land and territories lying adjacent
to and adjoining the City of Anna, Texas is hereby added and annexed to the
City of Anna, Texas, to --wit:
SECTION 2, The above described land and territory lying adjacent to
and adjoining the City of Anna, Texas, and said territory above described
shall hereafter be included within the boundary limits of the City of
Anna, Texas, and the present boundary 'limits of such city, at the various
points contiguous to the areas above described, are altered and amended
so as to include said area within the corporate limits of the City of
Anna, Texas.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption after one (1) reading and upon,.;.being approved by the
Mayor-, as the law in such cases provides.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas,
