AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORIES TO THE
CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS: PROVIDING rOR THE PUBLICATION
OF THIS ORDINANCE AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF:
WHEREAS, the growth and development of the area ad-iacent to the City
of Anna is progress'sng at a ra.p.d rsie :end th4s deve;cpment ?s expected
to cont -nue in the future; and
WHEREAS, the protect,on of the pubiic health and general welfare of
the people of the City of Anna ireaui�e_. that such development be 4in an or-
derly manner and controlled by the City of Anna; and
WHEREAS, a public: hearing was he'd before the City Council of the
City ;,f Anna, Texas, on the day of Gly�it,�'.� 19�k' ,

wh-,ch date was not more than twenty (20) d-lys rior -.:e--s than ten (30) days
prior to -,he of annexat�!on proceedings; and
WHEREAS, novice of such pubt•1chearing was advert zed at Post Office
and City Hall by public posters in the City of Anna, Texas I day
of +/a., (/-)which date was not more than twenty (20) days nor
less t.hGn ten (M) days prior to the d;:y of such pubis hearing; and
WHEREAS, the ter(''tory ?'+es. adjacent. to and adjo,ns the City of Anna,
Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS:
SECTION 1> The following described land and territories lying adjacent
to and adjoining the City of Anna, Texas 's hereby, added and annexed to the
City of Anna, Texas, to --wit:

SECTION 2. The above described land and territory lying adjacent to
and adjoining the City of Anna, Texas, and said territory above described
shat; hereafter be included within the boundary limits of th'e City of
Anna, Texas, and the present boundary limits of such city, at the various
points contiguous to the areas above described, are altered and amended
so as to include said area within the corporate limits of the City of
Anna, Texas.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption after one (1) reading and upon ->being approved by the
Mayor, as the law in such cases provides.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas,
