("CGMA" Water Transmission Pipeline)
A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANNA
RELATING TO TILE CONSTRUCTION OF THE COLLIN/GRAYSON
MUNICIPAL ALLIANCE ("CGMA") WATER TRANSMISSION PIPELINE
PROJECT THROUGH MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF ANNA.
WHEREAS, the City of Anna has entered into a cooperative agreement with the City of
Melissa, City of Van Alstyne, City of Howe and the Greater Texoma Utility Authority for
the construction of a surface water transmission pipeline(s) to be constructed from the
northwest side of the City of McKinney to the south side of the City of Howe along the
Dallas Area Rapid Transit corridor; and
WHEREAS, each of the cities involved in the COMA water transmission pipeline
project desire to assist in keeping the construction costs for this project as low as
possible; and
WHEREAS, the consulting engineers have recommended the use of land adjacent to the
City of Anna's streets as the most direct and economical method of constructing this
water transmission pipeline through our city;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANNA that the Greater Texoma Utility Authority is hereby authorized to
utilize the right-of-way easement adjacent to our existing municipal streets as a location
of the water transmission pipeline.
Upon motion by Council Member Finley seconded by Council Member Crim, the
foregoing Resolution was passed and approved on this22 day22 day o� 2005 by
the following vote:
AYE: 5 NAY 0 ABSTAIN 0
At a regular meeting of the City Council of Anna.
