HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 2011-01-03 HVAC Equip for PW BldgCITY OF ANNA, TEXAS RESOLUTION NO. 2011-01-03 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS APPROVING A CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF SAME FOR BID NO. 11-02 PW, HVAC EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEM INSTALLATION. WHEREAS, in accordance with State Law, the City of Anna, Texas (the "City") has solicited a Request for Sealed Bids for Bid No. 11-02 PW, HVAC Equipment and System Installation; and WHEREAS, sealed bids were opened in accordance with State Law on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas (the "City Council") may award a contract to the lowest qualified bidder; and WHEREAS, the apparent low bid was submitted by Koldaire Experts LLC; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'rHE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS THAT: Section 1. Recitals Incorporated The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein for all purposes as if set forth in full. Section 2. Approval of Contract The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute on its behalf, a contract with Koldaire Experts LLC for the purchase of HVAC Equipment and System Installation described in Bid No. 11-02 PW, HVAC Equipment and System Installation. PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas on this 25th day of January 2011. ATTEST: Res. 2011-01-03 HVAC Equip for PN Bldg 01-25-11 Bid Form Paae 2 of3 1. HVAC equipment and the associated system to be installed in accordance wi1h the Construction Drawings; and the specification contained in the Project Manual 2. Install components of systems indicated as dictated tbrough standanl practice. 3. All ductwork: si:zI::s shown ate free air streams dimensions. InsuJate to prevent condensation. Insulation will meet or exceed code required smoke/flame ratings. 4. Where approval codes have been established by OSHA. Underwriters Labomtory, American Codes. ANSI, AMSE, ASA, ASHRAE, ASTM., AIlI. NEL, NFP A, SMACNA, or the State Fire Insurance Regulatory Body, follow these standards whether or not indicated on the dtawings and specifications. 5. Provide the entire system and its component items of equipment in opemting condition free ofobjectionable vibration or noise. 6. Perform work in aOCOJdance with the latest editions; revisions; amendments or supplements of applicable state and loc;al authorities having jurisdiction in effect OD the date bids ate received. 7. Coon:tinate work so that iD1erferences between piping, ductwork, equipment, plumbing wodc, electrical work and building struct.uJ'e will be avoided. 8. Provide rectangular to round duct transitions as required. 9. Smoke detectors in return air plenums required for units over 2000 CFMS. 10. Exhaust fans for :restrooms. 11. New grilles to IKlCOIDlnOdate room layouts, 12. Condensate drain to run to approved sanitary drain line. 13. Over flow pan required for new AC unit. 14. Furnish 2" deep auxiliary sheet metal drain pan wI microswitdl float, min. 20 gauge. 15. All mecbaoicaJ., electrical and plumbing work shall comply wi1h aU applicable state and local building codes. Refer to specification for materials and methods for mechanical and plumbing coostrw:tioo. 16.
