RESOLUTION NO. 2011-02-05
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS REGARDING TEXAS PARKS
AND WILDLIFE GRANTS
WHEREAS, the State of Texas has had a long standing program of grants for park and open
space improvements; and
WHEREAS, the grant program is vital in providing park and recreation facilities for
communities where park program funds are limited; and
WHEREAS, the current State budget withdrew funding from the Texas Parks and Wildlife
Department to cover other budget shortfalls;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS THAT:
Seetion 1. Recitals Incorporated
The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein for all purposes as if set forth in full.
Section 2. Recommendations for the State Budget
The Council requests the State Budget be amended to:
1. Reinstate the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Grants-in-aid Program.
