RESOLUTION NO. 2011-04-02
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION OF PURCHASE AGREEMENTS FOR BID NO. 11-03 PW, PURCHASE
OF INTERIOR WAREHOUSE LIGHTS; BID NO. 11-04 PW, FINISH AND PAINT
INTERIOR DRYWALL; BID NO. 11-05 PW, PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF
FLOORING; AND BID NO. 11-06 PW, PURCHASE AND INSTALLA ,'ION OF
PROPANE TANK
WHEREAS, in accordance with State Law, the City of Anna, Texas (the "City") has
solicited a Request for Sealed Bids for Bid No. 11-03 PW, Interior Warehouse Lights;
and
WHEREAS, in accordance with State Law, the City has solicited a Request for Sealed
Bids for Bid No. 11-04 PW, Finish and Paint Interior Drywall; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with State Law, the City has solicited a Request for Sealed
Bids for Bid No. 11-05 PW, Purchase and Installation of Flooring; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with State Law, the City has solicited a Request for Sealed
Bids for Bid No. 11-06 PW, Purchase and Installation of Propane Tank; and
WHEREAS, sea'ied bids were opened in accordance with State Law on Tuesday, March
29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas (the "City Council") may award
a contract to the lowest qualified bidder, or bidder that offers the best value to the City;
and
WHEREAS, the apparent low bid for Bid No. 11-03 PW, Interior Warehouse Lights was
submitted by Lowe's Home Improvement; and
WHEREAS, the apparent low bid for Bid No. 11-04 PW, Finish and Paint Interior
Drywall was submitted by A&E Construction; and
WHEREAS, the apparent low bid for Bid No. 11-05 PW, Purchase and Installation of
Flooring was submitted by Lowe's Home Improvement; and
WHEREAS, the best value bid for Bid No. 11-06 PW, Purchase and Installation of
Propane Tank was submitted by Heritage Operating L.P.; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS THAT:

Section 1. Recitals Incorporated
The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein for all purposes as if set forth in full.
Section 2. Approval and Authority to Execute Purchase Agreements
(a) The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement
with Lowe's Home Improvement for the purchase the Interior Warehouse Lights
described in Bid No. 11-03 PW.
(b) The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement
with A&E Construction for the finish and paint of Interior Drywall described in Bid
No. 11-04 PW.
(c) The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement
with Lowe's Home Improvement for the purchase and installation of Flooring
described in Bid No. 11-05 PW.
(d) The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement
with Heritage Operating L.P. for the purchase and installation of Propane Tank
described in Bid No. 11-06 PW
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas on this 12th
day of April 2011.
