RESOLUTION NO. 2011-08-01
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS, APPOINTING AN ACTING CITY
SECRETARY
WHEREAS, the City of Anna, Texas ("the City") has a City Secretary who is
presently on leave; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anna, Texas City Council ("City Council") has determined
that it is in the City's best interest to appoint an Acting City Secretary to temporarily
perform all functions of the City Secretary;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Recitals Incorporated.
The above -referenced recitals are incorporated herein as if set forth in full for all
purposes.
Section 2. Appointment of Acting City Secretary.
2.01 The City Council has found and determined that it is in the best interests of the
City to appoint a currently active employee as Acting City Secretary.
2.02 The Acting City Secretary shall have all the powers, duties, and responsibilities
which normally accompany the office of City Secretary.
2.03 Notwithstanding any other resolution, ordinance, provision or policy to the
contrary, the Acting City Secretary's position will be governed by the City of Anna
Personnel Policy Manual while acting for the City Secretary.
2.04 The Acting City Secretary shall simultaneously hold any current position with the
City of Anna and the position of the City Secretary in all chains of command or
related administrative schemes.
2.05 The position of Acting City Secretary shall cease to exist when the City Secretary
returns from leave or until the City Council takes further action related to this
matter.
2.06 Clayton Fulton is appointed as the Acting City Secretary.

Section 3. Effective Date.
This resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas, on this the 2nd day of August,
2011.
