A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS ACKNOWLEDGING AND
RATIFYING THAT THE ADOPTION OF THE 2012-2013 ANNUAL BUDGET WILL
REQUIRE RAISING MORE REVENUE FROM PROPERTY TAXES THAN IN THE
PREVIOUS YEAR
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of Texas has amended Section 102.007 of
the Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, a separate vote of the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas is required to
ratify that the adoption of the FY 2013 Budget will require raising more revenue from
property taxes than the previous year; and,
WHEREAS, this resolution satisfies the aforementioned requirement;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Recitals Incorporated.
The facts and recitals above are incorporated herein as if set forth in full for all
purposes.
Section 2. Acknowledgement and Ratification of
The 2012-2013 fiscal year budget will raise more total property taxes than last year's
budget by $97,047 or 3.86%, and of that amount $85,207.92 is tax revenue to be raised
from new property added to the tax roll this year.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas this the 4th
day of September, 2012. ,
