ANNA PARKS ADVISORY BOARD MEETING

The Parks Advisory Board of the City of Anna met at 6:00 PM, on June 20, 2022, at the Anna City Hall, located at 111
North Powell Parkway (Hwy 5), to consider the following items:
1. Call to Order, Roll Call and Establishment of Quorum
Parks Advisory Board Member Eirik Hansen called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm.
Parks Advisory Board Member Staci Martin was absent.
Staff present included Recreation Manager Jeff Freeth, Neighborhood Services Director Marc Marchand, Park
Planning and Development Manager Dalan Walker, Parks Superintendent Matt Lewis and City Council Member
Kevin Toten,
2. Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance
Parks Advisory Board Member Eirik Hansen led the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. Reports
a. Staff presented a report on Recreation programs and events.
b. The Parks Advisory Board discussed options of touring city parks. The preferred option was a weekend
tour.
4. Project Updates
a. Staff presented an update on the library project.
b. Staff presented an update on the Wheeled Sports Park project.
c. Staff presented an update on the Johnson Park Field Lighting project.
d. Staff presented an update on the Bryant Park project.
e. Staff and the Parks Advisory Board discussed the Community Center/Recreation Center project.
f. Staff and the Parks Advisory Board discussed Park Bond Funds and Projects.
5. Individual Consideration
a. Discuss, Consider and Act on Parks Advisory Board meeting minutes from May 16, 2022.

MOTION: Parks Advisory Board Member Eirik Hansen moved to approve the Minutes as presented.
Parks Advisory Board Member Jon Schwyzer seconded. Motion carried.
b. Discuss, Consider, Acton National Fitness Campaign grant and location options.
MOTION: Parks Advisory Board Member Elden Baker moved to recommend to City Council to move
forward with the grant submission and location option as presented. Parks Advisory Board Member Eirik
Hansen seconded. Motion carried.
c. Discuss, Consider, Act on Slayter Creek Splash pad project.
MOTION: Parks Advisory Board Member Elden Baker moved to recommend to City Council to move
forward with entering into the necessary professional services agreement to evaluate options for the
repair or renovation of the Slayter Creek Splash Pad. Parks Advisory Board Member Eirik Hansen
seconded. Motion carried.
6. Adjourn
Parks Advisory Board Member Eirik Hansen adjourned the meeting at 8:24 pm.
