MINUTES
ANNA PARKS ADVISORY BOARD MEETING
Monday, October 17th @ 6:00 PM
Slayter Creek Park
426 W. Rosamond Pkwy
The Parks Advisory Board of the City of Anna met at 6:00 PM, on October 17th, 2022, at Slayter Creek Park, to consider
the following items:
1. Call to Order, Roll Call and Establishment of Quorum
Parks Advisory Board Member Eirik Hansen called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm.
Parks Advisory Board Member Jeff Reece and Jon Schwyzer were absent. Staff present included Recreation
Manager Jeff Freeth, Park Planning and Development Manager Dalan Walker, and City Council Members Stan
Carver and Pete Cain.
2. Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance
Parks Advisory Board Member Eirik Hansen led the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. Reports
a. Recreation Manager Jeff Freeth presented a report on fall recreation programs and events, as well as
providing an update on winter session programs and events planning.
4. Project Updates

which included fencing, seeding and gation of the fJeld(s)1

Johnson Park field
lighting project.

Henry Clay "Yank'
Washington park trail and half -basketball court
project.

an update on the
Natural Springs Park
parking lot project.

Park Planning and Development Manager Dalan
Walker provided
a walkthrough of
Slayter Creek Park
that provided updates on the following projects:
disc golf, splash
pad renovations, fitness station,
additional restroom, north parking lot expansion, pickleball, basketball
and tennis courts and skate park.
5. Individual Consideration
a. Discuss, Consider and Acton Parks Advisory Board meeting minutes from September 19th, 2022.
MOTION: Parks Advisory Board Member Elden Baker moved to approve the Minutes with the request
that the tabling of the election of the Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary to the October 16t^ meeting be
reflected. Parks Advisory Board Member Andrew Michrina seconded. Motion carried.

MOTION: Parks Advisory Board Member Elden Baker moved to nominate Eirik Hansen as the Parks
Advisory Board Chair. Parks Advisory Board Member Mackenzie Jenks seconded. Motion carried.
c. Discuss, Consider, Act on the election of a Vice Chair.

Motion
carried.
e. Discuss, Consider, Acton the November and December Parks Advisory Board Meetings.
MOTION: Parks Advisory Board Member Elden Baker moved to conduct both the November and
December meetings with further discussion for the need of the December at the November 21st Parks
Advisory Board Meeting, Parks Advisory Board Member Eirik Hansen seconded. Motion carried.
6. Adjourn
Parks Advisory Board Member Eirik Hansen adjourned the meeting at 7:06
