AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS ADOPTING THE STANDARD
FIRE PREVENTION CODE, AND THUS VOIDING ORDINANCE NO. 105-87, THE
UNIFORM FIRE CODE.
Whereas, It is deemed by the City Council of the City of Anna
that a set of regulations and standards governing
conditions hazardous to life and property from fire and
explosion is necessary to protect the public health,
welfare, and safety of the citizen's of the City of
Anna.
Section 1:There is hereby adopted by the City of Anna, Texas, for
the purpose of prescribing regulations governing
conditions hazardous to life and property from fire and
explosion, the 1994 Edition of the Standard Fire
Prevention Code published by Southern Building Code
Congress International in connection with the
International Association of Fire Chiefs and the
Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs.
Section 2:One (1) copy of said code is on file in the office of
the City Secretary, which shall be subject to
inspection at all times during regular business hours.
Section 3:The Fire Code shall be enforced by the Fire Marshal of
the city of Anna.
Section 4:When the word "jurisdiction" is used in the Fire Code,
is shall mean the Anna Fire District boundary as
established by the Commissioner's Court of Collin
County.

Passed and approved at a regular meeting of the City of Anna,
