AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS, ADOPTING
THE NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS
FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Anna has determined that the protection of the
health, safety, and welfare of the citizens and property owners of the city requires
minimum standards for the construction of public works infrastructure in the city; and
Whereas, the North Central Texas Standard Specifications for Public Works
Construction has been prepared for the specific purpose of establishing minimum
standards for the construction of public works infrastructure and has been adopted for
the purpose of establishing minimum construction standards by many of the cities in the
North Central Texas region; now therefore
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS
Section 1. North Central Texas Standard Specifications for Public Works
Construction Adopted
The most recent edition of the North Central Texas Standard Specifications for Public
Works Construction is hereby adopted by the City of Anna.
Section 2 Conflict With Laws And Regulations Of The State
If ever and whenever in this ordinance, restrictions, prohibitions, or provisions conflict
with laws of the State of Texas, in each such instance the more restrictive regulations,
prohibition, or provisions shall apply.
Section 3 Penalties
Any violation of any of the terms of this ordinance, whether herein denominated as
unlawful or not, shall be deemed a misdemeanor. Any person convicted of any such
violation shall be fined in an amount not to exceed two thousand dollars for each
incidence of violation. Each day of the continuance of such violation shall be considered
a separate offense and be punished separately.
Section 4 Repeal Clause
All parts of any ordinance in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are to the
extent of such conflict hereby repealed.

Section 5 Savings Clause
If any provision of this ordinance shall be held to be invalid or unconstitutional, the
remainder of such ordinance shall continue in full force and effect the same as if such
invalid or unconstitutional provision had never been a part hereof.
Section 6 Effective Date
This ordinance shall be effective upon the posting and/or publication of its caption as
required by law and the City Secretary is hereby directed to implement such posting
and/or publication.

dayof January 2000.
