ORDINANCE NO. 2002-12
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANNA ADOPTING PERSONNEL POLICIES FOR THE
CITY AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR SUCH POLICIES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anna has recognized the need for policies, rules, and
regulations relating to providing meaningful employment opportunities and for providing fair and
equal opportunity for qualified persons relating to recruitment, selection, placement, training,
promotion, discipline, or any other aspect of personnel administration without regard to race,
religion, national origin, age, sex, physical handicap, political affiliation, or marital status; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anna does not currently have a set of such personnel policies; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority under the general laws of the State of Texas to
adopt such personnel policies, now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS
Section 1. Adoption Of Personnel Policies
The Personnel Policies of the City of Anna, attached hereto and hereby made an integral part
of this ordinance, are hereby adopted.
Section 2. Effective Date
The Personnel Policies of the City of Anna, hereby adopted through this ordinance, shall be
effective immediately upon the passage of this ordinance by the City Council and approval of
this ordinance by the Mayor of the City of Anna.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas, by the following vote on this the 29"'
day of April, 2002.
