HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1048-2023-06 Amending FY2023 Park Development Fund BudgetCITY OF ANNA ORDINANCE NO. 10 48 ' .�2020,OG AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.1002-2022 ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE 2022-2023 FISCAL YEAR; PROVIDING FOR SAVINGS, SEVERABILITY, AND REPEALING CLAUSES; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION OF THE CAPTION HEREOF. WHEREAS, on September 13, 2022, the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas ("City Council"), after a duly noticed public hearing as required under Texas Local Gov't Code §102.106, and in accordance with applicable provisions of the City of Anna, Texas Home - Rule Charter ("Charter"), adopted a budget of all municipal appropriations and expenditures for the 2022-2023 fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the City is authorized to make this budget amendment by majority vote of the City Council under Section 7.09 of the Charter; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS THAT: SECTION 1. The recitals contained in the preamble hereof are hereby found to be true, and such recitals are hereby made a part of this ordinance for all purposes and are adopted as a part of the judgment and findings of the City Council with respect to the budget amendments described herein. SECTION 2. The City Council of the City officially finds, determines, and declares that the City of Anna 2022-2023 fiscal year budget is hereby amended with respect to its Park Development Fund as set forth in the original budget adopted under Ordinance No. 1002- 2022 by replacing the information regarding said funds with the information relating to said funds set forth in the attached Exhibit A, incorporated herein for all purposes. SECTION 4. Upon adoption and execution of this ordinance, the City Secretary is directed to attach same and its exhibits to the original City of Anna 2022-2023 fiscal year budget in all places where said budget is filed as of public record or posted for public inspection. SECTION 5. If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstance shall be held to be invalid, the remainder of this ordinance and the application of such provision to other persons and circumstances shall nevertheless be valid, and the City Council hereby declares that this ordinance would have been enacted without such invalid provision. SECTION 6. It is officially found, determined, and declared that the meeting at which this ordinance is adopted was open to the public and public notice of the time, place, and subject matter of the public business to be considered at such meeting, including this PAGE 1 OF 2 ordinance, was given, all as required by Chapter 551, as amended, Texas Government Code.
