ORDINANCE NO. 231-2005
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING METER SET FEES;
PROVIDING FOR A REPEAL CLAUSE; ESTABLISHING A SAVINGS CLAUSE;
ESTABLISHING A PENALTY AND A FINE; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, existing ordinances do not specify a meter set fee for the various size meters now
in use and being considered by use by the City of Anna utility department; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered this matter and believes that it is necessary to the
effective and efficient operation of the City's water system that a fee be established for setting of
meters of various sizes; now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS, THAT

The following fees shall be charged to the customer when a water meter is set at a location
having an existing tap to the City of Anna water system:

Section 2. Repeal Clause
All parts of any ordinance in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are to the extent of
such conflict hereby repealed.
$fiction 3. Savinas Clause
If any provision of this ordinance shall be held to be invalid or unconstitutional, the remainder
of such ordinance shall continue in full force and effect the same as if such invalid or
unconstitutional provision had never been a part hereof.
Section 4. Effective Date
This ordinance shall be effective upon the posting and/or publication of its caption as required
by law and the City Secretary is hereby directed to Implement such posting and/or publication.

Section S. Penalri
Any person violating any provision of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction shall be subject to a fine not to exceed the maximum as prescribed by the
statutes of the State of Texas. Each day of violation may be considered a separate offense
under the provisions of this ordinance. Each transaction in violation of any provision hereof
shall be deemed a separate offense. Prosecution or conviction under this provision shall not
be a bar to any other remedy or relief for violations of this ordinance.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas, by the following vote on this the 25th
day of October, 2005.
