ORDINANCE NO. 041-2007
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS PROVIDING FOR THE
DESIGNATION OF THE OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER BY THE CITY OF ANNA, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PUBLISHING EACH ORDINANCE,
NOTICE OR OTHER MATTER REQUIRED BY LAW OR ORDINANCE TO BE
PUBLISHED; AND PROVIDING FOR REVOCATION OF THIS ORDINANCE;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Anna is a duly incorporate home-mk municipality engaged in the
provision of city government and related services M the benefit of the atizens ofMe City of
Anna;
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 11.02 of the City of Anna City Charter, red City Council must
designate an official neaspaper for publishing ordinances, notices, or other matters required by
I" or ordinance to be published for the City of Anna, Collin county, Texas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANNA
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. DESIGNATION OF OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER,
The City aAnna hereby designates the McKinney Courier Gazelle as the offidal newspaper of
Me City of Anna, Collin County, Texas, for publishing each ordinance, notice, or other matter
required by law or ordinance to be published.
SECTION 2. REVOCATION.
This Ordinance shall remain in effect unless and unfit such time as the City Council of the City of
Anna shall repeal the same by ordinance.
SECTION 3. CONFLICTS.
All ordinances and provisions of the City ofAnna, Texas, Mat are in conflict with this Ordinance
shalt be and Me same are hereby repealeq and all odinances and promsion of ordinances of
said City trot w repealed are hereby retained in full farce and effect
SECTION 4. SEVERABILITY.
It is the intent of the City Council that each paragraph, sentence, subdivision, cause, phrase, or
section of flus Ordinance be seemed severable antl, ahould any such paragraph, sentence,
subdivision, clause, phase, or section be declared invalid or unconstitutional for any reason,
such declaration of invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not be construct to affect the validity of
those provisions ofthis Ordinance left standing.

SECTION 5. EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance will be effective upon adoption by the Anna City Counch and publication to the
extent required by law.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Collin County, Texas, the 14th day of
August .2007.
