BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
April 5, 2005
The Board of Adjustment of the City of Anna held a meeting on Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at 6:30
p.m., at the Community Room of the Texas Star Bank, located at 402 W. White Street (FM
455), Anna, Texas, to consider the following items.
1. - Call to order.
The Board of Adjustment meeting was officially called to order at 6:40 p.m. by Chairman
John Rattan.
2. Roll call and establishment of quorum.
Chairman John Rattan, Duane Hayes and alternate member Bethany Jablonski were
present.
Member John Hendricks was present at 6:47 p.Irn. and David Crim at 6:48 p.m.
3. Consider request by Mr. Matt Walls for variance from the requirement that one
hundred percent (100%) of front of housing units be brick or rock veneer for the
residential element of the Sweetwater Crossing Planned Development.
Mr. Matt Walls, 11615 Forest Central, Dallas, Texas, Sweetwater Crossing Planned
Development representative, presented the following letter, including attached
examples, in his presentation.
• Three examples of front exterior facades where non -masonry areas were
highlighted that included headers and gable ends in attached exhibits.
• Using brick in gables with added color to enhance the overall beauty of the
community instead of hip roofs.
• Using siding or wood in gray areas showing in exhibits and headers above
garage door.
Mr. Walls requested that variance be granted with the understanding that brick may be
increased in other area below the top plate along the side or rear area of the proposed
home designs in exhibits 1, 2, and 3 for the Sweetwater Crossing Planned Development.
Motion made by Jon Hendricks, seconded by Bethany Jablonski, to deny Mr. Walls
request for variance from the requirements that one hundred percent (100%) of front of
housing units be brick or rock veneer for the residential element of the Sweetwater
Crossing Planned Development.
