SPECIAL JOINT CITY COUNCIL I ANNA PARKS ADVISORY BOARD
WORKSHOP
AUGUST 8, 2009 9:00 A.M.

The City Council of the City of Anna and Anna Parks Advisory Board met in a Special
Workshop Session at 9:00 a. m, August 8, 2009, at the Anna City Hall Administration
Building located at 111 N Powell Parkway (Hwy 5), Anna, TX 75409, to consider the
following items.
1. Call to Order
Mayor Darren R Driskell called the meeting to order at 9:04 am.
2. Roll Call and Establishment of Quorum.
Present were Mayor Darren R Driskell and Council Members Mike Crist,
Marc Hendricks and Becky Glover. Of the Parks AdVisory Board Jon Hendricks,
Kelly Bailey, Rachel Lyon and Erin Cogar were present and Michael Williams
was absent.
3. Workshop: The following items/issues will be discussed. No action will be
taken on any item:
a. Discussion regarding Council's goals and expectations for the
Anna Parks Advisory Board.
Introductions were made. Discussion regarding promoting the Park System;
planning for Parks and working with developers to have park land dedicated;
Slayter Creek Park amenities; fund raising; how often to meet with City Council
(suggested twice a year); involvement with day to day activities and budget for
parks; any ideas for parks; wants to be able to advise on the use of the parks.
4. Adjourn.
Council Member Crist made the motion to adjourn at 9:56 am. Council Member
Glover seconded the motion. Motion passes.
