Whereas, the Anna Coyotes football has dedicated hundreds of hours of work,
starting even before the fast day of school, preparing and practicing
for the 2023-2024 school year, and
Whereas, the team has focused on teamwork, discipline, leadership and perfecting
athletic skills, and
Whereas, City Manager Ryan Henderson and I, Mayor Nate Pike, have conferred
and agreed it is in the best interest of the City of Anna, Texas to
close City Hall on Friday, December 15, 2023 in recognition of the
anticipated attendance of Alma City staff and families at AT&T
Stadium in Arlington, Texas to support the Anna High School
Coyotes football team in the Class 4A Division 1 state
championship. Accordingly, the City Manager has ordered the
closure of City Hall and certain other City facilities the day of the
championship game.";
Now, I Nate Pike, Mayor of the City of Anna, do recognize December 15, 2023 as a day in
recognition of the Anna High School Coyotes football team.
