Property owner has submitted a request for annexation. A location map and
legal description is attached.
If annexed and zoned per request of property owner, the property will be
attached to and developed as part of the Town Center tract.
This is the second of two required public hearings. The annexation ordinance
will be considered no earlier than the June 27 council meeting.

The City of Anna has initiated annexation of property along both sides of S. Powell
Parkway (SH 5) from the existing city limits south to the Anna -Melissa mutual
boundary. This annexation is part of the larger City effort to insure that the City
has the ability to give some direction to development patterns along its major
corridors (US 75, SH 5, SH 121, and FM 455). A list of the property owners
involved and a map of the area being considered for annexation is attached.

a 66.543 acre tract of land in the J. C. Brantley Abstract
Camden114. Property is located on the east side of Hwy 5 north, south
side of CR 376 and west of CR 427. (Annexation request of
This annexation is being requested by the property owner. The property is located
south of and across CR 376 from Northpointe Crossing. The property owner
intends to develop the property for single family residential use and possibly
commercial and/or office use in the northeast corner of the tract.
The proposed public hearing dates are June 13 and June 27, with annexation to
be considered no earlier than July 25.

A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AN ANNEXATION PETITION AND ESTABLISHING THE
DATES, TIMES, AND PLACES FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF
PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City of Anna has received a petition for annexation from the owner or
authorized representative of the owner of property described in Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, said territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the present boundaries of the City of
Anna, Texas; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS, THAT
Section I.
The petition for annexation submitted to the City of Anna by M. T. Akharizadeh, the owner or
authorized representative of the owner of property described in Exhibit A; is hereby accepted.
