RESOLUTION NO. ZO Z4 - 04 - I (al --
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS APPROVING AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PURCHASE ORDER IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED FOUR HUNDRED EIGHTY-TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($482,000.00)
FOR THE PURCHASE OF A HYDRO EXCAVATION TRUCK FOR THE CITY OF
ANNA PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT FROM VERMEER TEXAS-LOUISIANA.
WHEREAS, the City's Public Works Director has advised the City Manager's Office
and together determined that the purchase of the Hydro Excavation Truck is necessary
and essential to preserve the public services of the City's residents; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anna, Texas (the "City") has received a written quote using
Buyboard Contract 684-22 attached as Exhibit A from Vermeer Texas -Louisiana to
purchase the Hydro Excavation Trick for the purchase price of $481,039.55; and,
WHEREAS, the City's Financial Policy adopted on September 28, 2010 by Ordinance
No. 511-2010 allows the city to use cooperative purchasing programs in accordance
with Texas Government Code, Chapter 791, and Texas Local Government Code,
Chapter 271.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Recitals Incorporated.
The recitals above are incorporated herein as if set forth in full for all purposes.
Section 2. Authorization of Contract Award.
The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager or designee to execute on its
behalf, subject to legal review and approval by the City Attorney, a Purchase Order
with Vermeer Texas -Louisiana for the purchase of a Hydro Excavation Truck, as
shown on the written quotation attached hereto as Exhibit A.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas, on this
23rd day of April 2024.
