EMERGENCY CITY COUNCIL MEETING
August 13, 2004 8:0013M
The City Council of the City of Anna will meet in Emergency Session at 8:00 P.m., Friday,
August 13, 2004, at the Anna City Hall, 101 N. Powell Parkway (SH 5), to consider the following
items:
Purpose of emergency meeting
Due to unforeseen accounting concerns that could require the immediate professional services
of an auditor, the services of whom could directly impact pending or contemplated litigation
involving the City, the City Council Will convene for an emergency meeting to deliberate and
possibly take action to retain the services of a certified auditor.
Call to Order.
2. Roll Call and Establishment of Quorum.
3. EXECUTIVE SESSION: Under terms of Chapter 551 of Texas Government Code the
City Council may enter into CLOSED SESSION or Executive Session to discuss the
following:
A. To consult with legal counsel regarding pending or contemplated litigation:
(Government Code, Section 551.071)
B. To consult with legal counsel on matters in which the duty of the attorney to the
governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of
the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with Chapter 551 of the Government Code.
(Government Code, Chapter 551.071).
The council reserves the right to return to executive session throughout this meeting.
4. Consider and act on Gregg & Company's Letter of Engagement to Perform Agreed -
Upon Procedures, dated August 12, 2004.
