ANNA PARK BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
May 18, 2015
The Park Board of the City of Anna will held a regular meeting on Monday, May 18, 2015, at
7:00 p.m. at the Community Room of Anna City Hall Administration Building, located at I I I
North Powell Parkway (Hwy 5), to consider the following items.
1. Call to order and establishment of quorum.
Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. and establishment of quorum. Park Board members
present were Jon Hendricks, Stan Carver and Erin Cogar. Staff present was Maurice
Schwanke and special guest Karen Ahrens, owner of Daddy Rex's Twisted Barbeque.
2. Consider/Discuss/Act on recommendation regarding the special event application submitted
by Karen Ahrens, owner of Daddy Rex's Twisted Barbeque concerning the request to have
"Summer Nights Concert Series" on Thursday's from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. starting June 4th,
- July 31't, 2015 located on Interurban Street (4d' Street to alley between 4d' and 5 h Street). A
"Block Street" application has also been submitted for this event requesting to close off
Interurban Street (4d' Street to alley between 4th and 5 h Street) that will go to the Anna Police
Department and Planning & Development Department for approval.
Mr. Schwanke gave a presentation regarding the event. The City received a special event
permit application for the request to have a "Summer Night Concert Series" on Thursday's
from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. starting June 4d' — July 30th, 2015. The location for this event
will be on Interurban Street (0 Street to alley between 4d' and 51h Street). A "block Street"
application has been submitted for this event requesting to close off Interurban Street (0
Street to alley between 4 h and 5th Street) that will go to the Anna Police
Department/Planning and Development Department for approval. Ms. Ahrens also gave a
brief presentation regarding the special event. Following a brief discussion a motion was
made by Stan Carver, seconded by Erin Cogar to recommend approval of the event. The
motion carried.
3. Adjourn
Erin Cogar made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Stan Carver. Motion carried. Meeting
adjourned at 7: 25 p.m.
