Proclamation
ANNA COYOTE TENNIS TEAM
WHEREAS, the members of the Anna Coyote Tennis Team have dedicated hundreds of hours of work
preparing, practicing, and competing for the 2021-2022 school year, and
WHEREAS, tennis team members focus on teamwork, discipline, leadership, and technique, and
WHEREAS, the 2022 season was a tremendous success as the Tennis Team went 95-1 in individual
matches in the district, finished as district champs for the third year in a row, and advanced to
the 4th round of the playoffs as regional semifinalists for the fifth year in a row, and
WHEREAS, the Tennis Team head coach for the year is Vince Sharp, and
WHEREAS, the Anna Tennis Team enjoyed unparalleled support from parents in coming to matches to
support the team and helping members get to practice, and
NOW THEREFORE, I, Nate Pike, Mayor of the City of Anna, Texas, by the authority vested in me,
do hereby commend the
2022 ANNA COYOTE
TENNIS TEAM
on their outstanding performance and on becoming District, Bi District, Area, and
Regional Quarterfinals Champions as well as Regional Semifinalists. I also encourage
all Anna neighbors to support the Tennis Team and to recognize these hardworking
players and coaches as they represent our community.
