1. Call to Order, Roll Call, and Establishment of Quorum.
Chairperson Theresa King -Bell called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m.
and established quorum.

2. Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.
Commission Member Susan Easaw provided an invocation and
Commission Member Travis Bates led the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. Neighbor's Input.
Jim Henderson of 2401 Hillside Drive shared he is the local chapter President of
"Sleep in Heavenly Peace," a nonprofit organization thatbuilds and provides beds
to children in the area.
4. Reports
a. Events and Programs Update.
Taylor Lough gave a recap of programs and events that occurred citywide
in December and are planned for the next few months.
5. Items for Individual Consideration
a. Consider, Discuss, Acton selecting a Chair.
MOTION: Commission Member Jodi Foster moved to reappoint Theresa
King -Bell as Chair. Member Susan Easaw seconded. Motion passed 7-0.
b. Consider, Discuss, Act on selecting a Vice Chair.
MOTION: Commission Member Susan Easaw moved to reappoint Elijah
Nelms as Vice Chair. Commission Member Jodi Foster seconded. Motion
passed 7-0.
c. Consider, Discuss, Act approving the minutes from the November 25, 2024,
Neighbor Engagement and Inclusion Advisory Commission Meeting.
MOTION: Commission Member Travis Bates moved to approve the minutes
of the November 25, 2024, Neighbor Engagement and Inclusion Advisory
Commission Meeting. Commission Member Jodi Foster seconded. Motion
passed 7-0.
d. Consider, Discuss, Act advising the City Council to form a coalition to review
properly tax programs for senior citizens.
MOTION: Commission member Jodi Foster moved to advise the City
Council to appoint an ad hoc commission made up of tax experts and
advisors (not city employees) as soon as possible to study the issue and
research and present proposals to the City and Anna citizens to lessen
and alleviate the problem, whether it be tax breaks, city tax exemptions
and/or freezes, resources to aid senior citizens in tax preparedness or
other solutions that are viable and beneficial. Commission Member
Theresa King -Bell seconded. Motion passed 7-0.
7. Adjourn.
Chairperson Theresa King -Bell adjourned the meeting at 6:36 p.m.
