MEETINGBUDGET WORKSHOP
July 29, 2014 6:30 p.m. —Anna City Hall Administration Building
The City Council of the City of Anna will meet in Special Session/Budget Workshop at
6:30 p.m., July 29, 2014, at the Anna City Hall Administration Building, located at 111
North Powell Parkway (Hwy 5), to consider the following items.
1. Call to Order.
2. Roll call and establishment of a quorum.
3. Workshop: Briefmg/Discussion regarding FY 2014-2015 Budget.
4. Consider/DiscusslAction regarding a Resolution setting the date and time for a
Public Hearing on the proposed 2014-15 City of Anna Budget. (Clayton Fulton).
5. CLOSED SESSION (EXCEPTIONS): Under Tex. Gov't Code Chapter 551, the
City Council may enter into closed session to discuss any items listed or
referenced on this agenda under the following exceptions:
a. discuss or deliberate personnel matters: City Manager Annual Review.
(Tex. Gov't Code §551.074).
The council further reserves the right to enter into executive session at any time
throughout any duly noticed meeting under any applicable exception to the Open
Meetings Act.
6. Adjourn.
This is to certify that I, Philip Sanders, City Manager, posted this agenda at a
place readily accessible to the public at the Anna City Hall and on the City Hall
bulletin board at or before 5:00 p.m. July 25, 2014.

2. The Council reserves the right to retire into executive session concerning any of the items listed on this agenda, whenever it is
considered necessary and legally justified under the Open Meeting Act.

AGENDA SUBJECT: Consider/Discuss/Action regarding a Resolution setting the date and
time for a Public Hearing on the proposed FY 2014-15 City of Anna Budget,
SUMMARY: Staff recommends that 7:30 p.m. on August 12, 2014 at Anna City Hall be
named as the date, and time for the public hearing on the FY 15 budget.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the attached Resolution.

RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS NAMING THE DATE AND PLACE
OF A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE FY 20144015 BUDGET
WHEREAS, Section 7.02 of the City of Anna, Texas (the y") Home Rule Charter (the
'Charter") states that on or before the 15th day of August of the fiscal year, the City
Manager must submit to the City Council a budget for the ensuing fiscal year; and
WHERAS, Section 7.05 of the Charter states the City Council must name the date and
place of the public hearing on the budget
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS THAT:
Section 1. Recitals Incorporated
The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein for all purposes as if set forth in full.
Section 2. Date of Public Hearing and Publication of Notice
The Council hereby sets August 12, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. as the date and time for the
public hearing on the FY 2014-2015 budget, said hearing to be held in the City Council
Chambers of the Municipal Building located at 111 N. Powell Parkway in Anna, Texas,
The Council further directs that notice of the time and place of the public hearing be
published in the official newspaper of the City as required in Section 7.05 of the Charter.
