ANNA PARK BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
May 17,2010
The Park Board of the City of Anna held its regular meeting on Monday,May 17,2010,at 7:00
p.m.at the Community Room of Anna City Hall Administration Building,located at 111 North
Powell Parkway (Hwy 5),to consider the following items.
1.Call to order and establishment of quorum.
The meeting was called to order at 7:40 p.m.and a quorum was established.Park
Board m§rnbers present were Jon Hendricks,Erin Coger,and Michael Watkins.Staff
member Maurice Schwanke was present as well as Becky Glover Council Liaison.
2.Citizen comments and/or other presentations.
Ms.Coger gave a brief report regarding softball registration and noted that six (6)teams
were registered at this time.Mr.Schwanke noted that six teams would work but would
prefer to have at least eight (8)teams registered so that teams would not have to
repeatedly keep playing each other.Mr.Hendricks noted that he would work on getting
a couple more teams registered.
3.Review application and recommendation -Special Event "Freedom Fest"sponsored by
the Greater Chamber of Commerce and A YSA.
Stacy Driskell gave a brief presentation regarding the plans for Freedom Fest that will
start with a 5K run and end with a dance.She answered several questions from the
Board regarding the special event request.
A motion was made by Erin Cogar to recommend to Council approval of the Special
Event sponsored by the Greater Chamber of Commerce and A YSA.Mr.Watkins
seconded the motion,which passed by the following vote:3 ayes 0 nays 0 abstained
4.Park Board Minutes
•April 19,2010
A motion was made by Mr.Watkins to approve the April 19,2010 Minutes.Ms.Cogar
seconded the motion,which passed by the following vote:3 ayes 0 nays 0 abstained
5.Adjourn.
Ms.Cogar made a motion to adjourn with a second by Mr.Watkins.The Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
