ANNA PARK BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
Monday, October 17, 2011
The Park Board of the City of Anna held a regular meeting on Monday, October 17, 2011, at
7:00 p.m. in the Community Room of the Anna City Hall Administration Building, located at 111
North Powell Parkway (Hwy 5), to consider the following items.
1. Call to order at 7:14 pm and establishment of quorum. Park Board members present were Jon
Hendricks, Kelly Bailey, Erin Cogar, Lauren Lovato and Rachel Lyon. Maurice Schwanke was
also present.
2. Slayter Creek Park Site Plan Phase II
Maurice is scheduled to meet with lighting, grading, splash pad and gazebo companies.
Things to consider:
• Tennis Court Windbreaks
• 911 Memorial Garden — with plaques remembering those who died in different wars
in addition to Firefighters and police.
• Lighting for tennis courts and soccer fields
• Additions to skate pad
• Bleachers for soccer field
• Light poles in parking lot
• The maintenance building needs to be bigger
• Consider expanding the playground
Rachel Lyon made a motion that the plan be approved with the Splash pad moved to the
east closer to parking lot and the gazebo moved to a location behind the 911 Memorial.
Lauren Lovato seconded the motion. Motion carried.
3. Park Board Minutes of September 19. Lauren Lovato made a motion to accept the minutes.
Jon Hendricks seconded the motion. The motion carried.
4. Adjourn — Erin Cogar made a motion to adjourn and Jon Hendricks seconded the motion.
Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:51 pm.
