ANNA PARK BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
Monday, September 19, 2011
The Park Board of the City of Anna held a regular meeting on Monday, September 19, 2011, at
7:00 p.m. in the Community Room of the Anna City Hall Administration Building, located at 111
North Powell Parkway (Hwy 5), to consider the following items.
Call to order at 7:01 pm and establishment of quorum. Park Board members present were
Jon Hendricks, Erin Cogar, Lauren Lovato and Rachel Lyon. Maurice Schwanke was also
present.
2. Review and update on grant applications.
The City has received a grant from Texas Parks and Wildlife that will enable the construction
of Phase II of Slayter Creek.
Certain things must be done to gain approval to start such as a contract with the State, an
appraisal of the land being used as match, an archeological study, and construction plans
and documents
The Grant money will be used for the construction of two new lighted ball fields, water park,
trails, disc golf, gazebo, enhanced parking, and a second multi-purpose field.
3. Softball League update
The current softball league is finished. The "Wet Noodles" common known as Joe's Italian
Bistro won.
The new league is starting on Wednesday nights at 7:OOpm.
4. Park Board Minutes of August 15, 2011. Erin Cogar made a motion to accept the minutes.
Rachel Lyon seconded it. The motion carried.
5. Adjourn — Erin Cogar made a motion to adjourn. Jon Hendricks seconded the motion which
carried. The meeting adjourned at 7:51 pm.
