ANNA PARK BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
Monday, April 16, 2012
The Park Board of the City of Anna held its regular meeting on, Monday April 16, 2012 at 7:00
p.m. in the Community Room of the Anna City Hall Administration Building, located at 111 North
Powell Parkway (Hwy 5), to consider the following items.
1. Call to order at 7:05 pm and establishment of quorum. Park Board members present
were Erin Cogar, Lauren Lovato, Rachel Lyon and Jon Hendricks. Maurice Schwanke
was also present as well as Erik Alvarez.
2. Summer Co-ed Softball Rules. Maurice reported that after February's meeting the
softball coaches reviewed the rules and asked for a revision that allowed each regular
game to continue more than 55 minutes if the game were tied. The idea was discussed
and considered unnecessary. Lauren made a motion to reject the revision. Erin
seconded it. The motion carried.
3. Park Usage Fees. Maurice has been approached by representatives from other towns
asking what we charge per person for park usage. In an effort to be competitive it was
suggested that we do some research of our own to determine what other nearby cities
charge. Lauren agreed to do the research and make a presentation in June.
4. Slayter Creek Park. Maurice reported that he has been gathering information needed to
continue the progress on Slayter Creek Park. He has scheduled a meeting next week
with engineers to go over the costs of work needed such as grading.
5. Park Board Minutes of February 21, 2012.. Erin made a motion to accept the minutes.
Lauren seconded it. The motion carried.
7. Adjourn -- Erin made a motion to adjourn. Lauren seconded. Motion carried. Meeting
adjourned at 7:22 pm.
