ANNA PARK BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
Tuesday, January 17, 2012
The Park Board of the City of Anna held a regular meeting on, Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at
7:00 p.m. in the Community Room of the Anna City Hall Administration Building, located at
111 North Powell Parkway (Hwy 5) to consider the following items.
1. Call to order at 7:01 p.m. and establishment of quorum. Park Board members present were
Erin Cogar, Lauren Lovato, Rachel Lyon and Jon Hendricks. Maurice Schwanke and Becky
Glover was also present.
2. Review of misc. park activities
Maurice reported that the state now has some trail grant money available. Maurice
recommended that we start a trail near Creekview Street in Creekside Subdivision and use
grant money for concrete and bridges.
3. Review of Natural Springs Park activities
Maurice presented a proposed property exchange agreement regarding the Mann Property and
Natural Springs Park.
Becky Glover advised that the property across from the Buffalo Bill drive would be a better
choice because a median opening would be built in FM 455 at that spot which would
improve access in and out of the park.
Jon Hendricks advised that the land the City currently owns is more valuable than the land
they would be receiving.
Upon that advice, the Parks Board recommended for no land swap at this time.
4. Park Board Minutes of November 21, 2011. Erin made a motion to accept the minutes.
Lauren seconded it. The motion carried.
5. Adjourn — Erin made a motion to adjourn. Lauren seconded. Motion carried. Meeting
adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
