ANNA PARK BOARD
SPECIAL MEETING
Monday, May 7, 2012
The Park Board of the City of Anna held a special meeting on, Monday May 7, 2012 at 7:00
p.m. in the Community Room of the Anna City Hall Administration Building, located at 111 North
Powell Parkway (Hwy 5), to consider the following items.
1. Call to order at 8:10 pm and establishment of quorum. Park Board members present were
Erin Cogar, Lauren Lovato, Rachel Lyon and Jon Hendricks. Maurice Schwanke was also
present as well as Chief Roma from the Fire Department, Sergeant Caponera from the
Police Department and Phillip Sanders.
2. Consider/discuss/act on special event application submitted by Joe Polanco, owner of Billy's
Bar and Grill, LLC regarding the request for an outdoor concert to be held on May 25, 2012
from noon to midnight.
Due to many factors City Staff had many concerns with the application. The police
department, fire department and City staff all agreed that Joe Polanco had not submitted a
good plan and it should be denied. Mr. Polanco was not present at the meeting.
Erin made a motion to deny the event application. Rachel seconded it. The motion carried
unanimously.
3. Park Board Minutes of April 16, 2012.. Lauren made a motion to accept the minutes. Erin
seconded it. The motion carried.
4. Adjourn — Rachel made a motion to adjourn. Lauren seconded. Motion carried. Meeting
adjourned at 8:26 pm.
