ANNA PARK BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
Monday,Oct 19,2009
The Park Board of the City of Anna held a regular meeting on Monday,Oct 19,at 7:00 p.m.in the
Community Room of the Anna City Hall Administration Building,located at 111 North Powell Parkway
(Hwy 5),to consider the following items.
t.Call to order at 7:00 pm and establishment of quorum.Park Board members present were Kelly
Bailey,Erin Coger;~oo Hendrix and Rachel Lyon.Maurice Schwanke and Phillip Sanders were
also present.
2.Citizen's comments and lor other presentations.Maurice told us that Stacy Driskell decided not to
serve alcohol in the VIP Tent of the Glowfest.
3.Phillip Sanders went over the changes to the facilities utilization agreements.For soccer,It was
debated whether soccer fees should be the same for the non-resident as the resident.We are
looking forward to requiring a coach certification workshop by 2011.If another club wants to use
the facilities they need to draft an agreement pertaining to what they want.For softballlbaseball at
Slayter Creek,the high school has first priority during their seasons.
4.Community Garden.There will be a Fall Festival on the 24th at the Chambersville Tree Farm that
will have a seminar about community gardens.We are all invited to attend.
5.Natural Spring Park -A grant was received for $282,500 to finish all the trails and the bridge
6.Adult Leagues -Recreational only -Erin will get with the people in McKinney to find out what's
involved in starting an adult league.
7.Farmers Market -Rachel will identify potential vendors
8.Recreation for all ages including horseshoes and washers is needed.
9.Brick Fundraiser -We will get with Stacy about selling bricks.We will also get with school groups
to sell bricks as a fund-raiser.Kelly will talk to AYSA and boy scouts and high school.
10.Park Board Minutes for Sept 21,2009.Erin Coger made a motion to accept and Rachel Lyon
seconded it.Motion passed.
11.Adjourn meeting at 8:43 pm.The motion was made by Erin Coger and seconded by John
Hendrix.Motion passed.
