AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORIES TO THE
CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS: PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION
OF THIS ORDINANCE AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF:
WHEREAS, the growth and aevelopment of the area adjacent to the City
of Anna is progressing at a r•ap(d rate and thi's deve'sopment is expected
to cont�lnue in the future; and
WHEREAS, the protect.on of Lhe public health and general welfare of
the pecple of the City of Anna vrequire_ that such development be -in an or-
der-ly manner and controlled by Lhe City of Anna; and
WHEREAS, a pubi4lc hearing was held before t•he Cifty Council of the
City of Anna, Texas, on the i day of l' 19 ,
which date was not more than twenty (20) deys nor !e_s than ten (10) days
pr,.or t%:, .he lnstir.ut,on of annexatic,n proceedings; and
WHEREAS, not;ce of such pubic hearing was advert?Led at Post Office
and City HalI by public posters in the City of Anna, Texas I day
of !! , ? a.�which date wa, not more than twenty (20) days nor
less than ten (10) days prior to the day of such Public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the territory lies adjacent• to and adjoins the City of Anna,
Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The following described land and territories lying adjacent
to and adjoining the City of Anna, Texas is hereby added and annexed to the
City of Anna, Texas, to -wit:

SECTION 2, The above described land and territory lying adjacent to
and adjoining the City of Anna, Texas, and said territory above described
shall hereafter be included within the boundary limits of the City of
Anna, Texas, and the present boundary limits of such city, at the various
points contiguous to the areas above described, are altered and amended
so as to include said area within the corporate limits of the City of
Anna, Texas.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption after one (1) reading and upon -being approved by the
Mayor, as the law in such cases provides.
