HomeMy WebLinkAboutPBmin2021-08-16Minutes TITF C n) rn Anna Parks Advisory Meeting mnna Monday, August 16,2021, 6:00pm Anna City Hall, 111 N Powell Parkway MINUTES ANNA PARKS ADVISORY BOARD MEETING August 16, 2021 The Parks Board of the City of Anna met at 6:00 PM, on August 16, 2021, at the Anna City Hall, located at 111 North Powell Parkway (Hwy 5), to consider the following items: 1. Call to Order, Roll Call and Establishment of Quorum a. The meeting was called to order at 6:02pm. Members present were Elden Baker, Eirik Hansen, Mackenzie Jenks and Jonathon Schwyzer. Staff present included Jeff Freeth, Olivia Demings, and Dalan Walker. 2. Park Minutes a. July 19, 2021 A motion was made by Eirik Hansen, seconded by Elden Baker, to approve the Minutes of the June 19, 2021, meeting. Motion carried. 3. Staff introduced the new Neighborhood Services Coordinator Olivia Demings. 4. Staff presented a report on neighborhood life programming. 5. Staff presented a report on summer recreation programming. 6. Staff presented a status update on the Johnson Park Enhancement Project. 7. Staff presented an update on the Parks Capital Projects. 8. Staff presented a Special Event Permit Application submitted by Elden Baker. Eirik Hansen made the motion to recommend to council the approval of the September 18 ", 2021, Collin Mckinney Statue Dedication Special Event application, Jonathon Schwyzer seconded. Elden Baker abstained and Mackenzie Jenks voted yes. Motion Carried 3-0. 9. Staff presented a Special Event Permit Application submitted by Pam Carroll. Elden Baker made the motion to recommend to council the approval of the August 28th, 2021, Free Community Taco Trot 5K Special Event application, Eirik Hansen seconded. Motion Carried 4-0. 10.
